This thread got me thinking about my coverage with New York Life. I pay $109/mth for $1M 20year term. I know not all insurance companies are the same, and this is probably the most expensive since it's rated #1 by various sources.

In comparison, the MetLife plan costs $89, and ALPA's plan costs $61 for the same amount of coverage. ALPA's plan is underwritten by Guardian Life which is also very highly rated.

Does anyone have any experience with the ALPA plan? I'm considering a switch.
