Poopchute is correct! This is bad because it breaks two long established practices, both of which on their own are bad enough but combined are horrendous!
1. Basing the company in a low tax country with dollars from a second location.
--Imagine if DAL tool their money and started an airline in Mexico.
2. Now DAL staff those planes with Latvian pilots who make 12k a year.
3. The new Latvianca flies into LAX, JFK, LHR, CDG etc.
4. We all lose our jobs.
Imagine if the REVERSE happens.
