a key metric is how many of these new hires are CFIs with 1500hrs or how many are higher time switching from other companies or military or ex 121 coming back?

if it is the low timers, then there really is a supply problem, but if they are mostly high time pilots then it seems like people are chasing who currently has the best deal and short up grade times.
