Sage advice. House of cards, fast buck scheme. Read the tea leaves: The most profitable airline in the US in 2015, G4 is the only ULCC buying trashed out old Airbii. Allegiant can easily afford newer (reliable) aircraft but doesn't. Why? Quite simple: buy 60,000 hour junk, maintain it with cheap, outsourced maintenance and entry level (low wage) mechanics, then cash out.

Same business philosophy with the 757s: burn them out, when the bill comes due (2017, C checks), dump 'em.

These principles also apply to employees.
