It doesn't really matter what you think, the proof is in the hiring standards. If 2000-5000 hour civilian pilots were a safe bet for the majors, that's where they'd be hiring.

Bottom line is all you people who think the military thing is "unfair" have never done it. You know half the equation. You have zero real concept of what is required to pass military flight school and fly in the operational forces. The military pilots have done both and can therefore compare and contrast based on experience. I'm Winchester, RTB.
