You've heard of languages right?
Your "newsflash" is as credible as a Brian Williams report from the combat zone! Where did you come up with that? The Koran and the Bible read quite a bit differently! I expect leaders within both faiths would agree that Christians and Muslims worship a God as they believe their creator to be. But to say it's the same God echos a PC publicity piece from some website that would like people to believe more similarities than differences exist between the two religions. Which is way beyond reality. Start with a God who had a son (Jesus) versus one with no offspring, just for starters. Many tenets of Christianity are commonly denounced by Muslim teachings. Christians tend to spend less time debunking the beliefs of others and more time expressing God's love for all of mankind. The last thing I want to do is start a religious debate, but your statement must be called out. Christian God is not Allah by another name. Allah is the God Muslims worship with vastly different interpretations, beliefs and rituals than Christians worship their God. Any devout Muslim or Christian would acknowledge the vast differences between their religions. Your "newsflash" might play well on Twitter or a mindless TV news program, but it's not factual. Should believers and non-believers recognize and respect the rights of anyone to worship a deity as they wish? Of course. But pretending these two religions have much in common is pure baloney!
