Currently AGR but also a Regional FO with Mesa (on MIL leave). As AGR, I'm flying helos for the Army. The Job is OK and the pay is much better than I'd be making as an FO. I'm home almost every night and work the 4-10s and drill once a month.
Not enough hours to really be competitive with the majors. (2100TT, 950 fixed and 1200 or so rotary from the Army) Should I stay AGR making a comfortable living? Or bite the bullet and return to the regionals and build up my fixed wing time? If I can handle the budget cut, I am leaning towards the regional route and eventually put in for something better as my flight time is more competitive.
How many years until you get an AD retirement?
