What are you talking about? A work stoppage is a strike, the fact that the only real way to get management to eagerly pursue a new contract is the threat of being released for to self help. Making that statement or believing it is NOT illegal. Everything else we do, from berating guys for picking up open time, to not calling for paperwork, to any of the other things we think will bring management to a serious discussion at the table amounts to a hill of beans. Money is all that matters, if the money is at risk, management gets worried. If the money keeps flowing, then why change anything? Here's a definition I pulled up on the Google: Strike action, also called labor strike, labour strike, on strike, greve (of French: grève), or simply strike, is a work stoppage caused by the mass refusal of employees to work. A strike usually takes place in response to employee grievances.
