Alright for someone who follows almost all of these threads I still find myself surprisingly lost as far as where we are in terms of a new contract. I just joined the hiring pool and I'm curious what the estimated timeline is for a new contract? Especially when I see stuff like this about picketing it makes me think we are far away from one. Do we think it could be months away? Or perhaps a year? Or could it be years? Forgive my ignorance but just looking for the basics. And obviously we want the best contract possible so what happens if it gets voted down again by the pilots...can that just keep happening?
There is really only one similar situation to compare our negotiations with in the last 20 years. Given the depth of the differences in table positions I would plan several years. Don't start spending your raise yet.
