You can live in some of the nicer outstations comfortably on the pay.

Unless you live in BOS, STL, or BIL, it's the same route over and over again. If your based in IRK, you only fly IRK to STL and back over and over again. You have to live in IRK because the flight starts and ends there. You will live mostly in ****hole places except maybe in New England. Of course you pay the price. I don't know man. I was there not too long ago. Most of the captains did not live an extravagant life. They always seemed to complain about not being able to afford living in nice places, vacation, etc. At the end of the day, a lifer at Cape air is going to make a fraction of what they can make at a major airline. You're at an airline with an unknown future, flying a POS airplane in some of the worst cities out there on the same monotonous route. I didn't even last a year before I was sick and tired of the same route 6 times a day. It was so boring. Also no cockpit door. Horrible. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
