I didn't say we were at the end of the hiring wave, just that barring substantial growth at SFB, a CA slot wasn't going to come there anytime soon! There are only 32 or so CA's there now, with no real prospects of any of them moving on. There are just as many mostly-local FO's that will upgrade there. So, a new-hire today awarded AB SFB has little chance of upgrading in SFB for years, since that is one of the most senior slots in the company. A NH awarded SFB 80 FO will be waiting, under current conditions, to upgrade to the 'homeless base' in 9-12 months. But SFB upgrade will take years. Once again...barring any significant base expansion.
Certainly with projected growth, who knows what will happen?! But I just want the OP to know there's no 'quick upgrade' to SFB any time soon.
