I agree with aaaa2378's assessment. The really big question that nobody ever seems to give enough importance to is the schedule. If your life cannot support you being gone for 17 days every month.
After almost 5 years I am just now reaching the seniority level where I can bid to have holidays off. I am older, don't have children at home, nor a woman who needs me at home. This job is a good fit at this point in my life but, would be intolerable if I had children at home and perhaps a wife who was not strong and able to handle crisis well.
The quality of life, while on the road, in my opinion, is better than most other airlines. Now, if we could just get the compensation package up to at least industry standard.
