Wow! I sure hope that pilots are thinking for themselves and not taking career advice from some guy they don't know who may just be sitting in his underwear on the couch in Mom's basement

Now, if you are saying that if you have other job prospects, any job prospects at all, stay away from K4. While I don't agree with you, I can at least consider your argument.

In the first paragraph you are just a hater, and giving out terrible advice. Although, anyone who takes that advice deserves the consequences. So, I guess what you are really doing is the opposite of what you are trying to do. You are filtering out the pilots that have no independent critical thinking skills. Thank you, as they are difficult to work with. I would imagine that anyone with the above mentioned skills has the ability to make their own decisions. That decision being based a little on your advice but mostly from anecdotal evidence.

Again, thank you. While it hurts the pilot group to not get the top tier pilot candidates, it also put hiring pressure on the company which is the only thing that is going to resolve this contract.
Max, i have said it before and I will say it again...I was gratefull that Kalitta hired me. I had a good time while there and learned alot. Of course if someone has no job then Kalitta is a good place to hang your hat while waiting for something better. Would I advise an RJ fo to go to Kalitta right now? no I would not. I think there are too many negatives at the moment. The contract situation is detrimental and could have very negative consequences. (strike, Connie decides to take his toys and go home, or a guy could get fired as a way for the company to make a point during negatiations.) There are just too many other jobs out there right now to make Connie your first choice. I also believe as you do, that if the hiring pool, as shallow as it is, dries up completely, the contract will get settled sooner and more in favor of the pilots.

Good luck!
