First post ever. I am a 5 year captain at spirit, and was sucked in early by the promises of an early deal. So very disappointed with the management of this company. I have my apps out with the legacies and even UPS and FedEx. If they call, I will go. I certainly do not slow down to cause any delays but I do not go out of my way to make it run any smoother. For example, If these untrained and uneducated gate agents cannot tell me when I call in range that there is ground power and air available, like they should, I come rolling in with the APU running, set the parking brake and head to the hotel. I will do my job safe and with the upmost respect for "most" of our passengers that are flying with us but I am not going put myself out there for management anymore. It's just amazing to me that we could be a great ulcc if management had the full support of the pilots.
