My mistake the things I had read indicated it was growth to the fleet in EWR.
It was until they announced accelerated retirements of the -400's, so now everything is up in the air. The general consensus is that EWR will definitely see some upgauging, like TLV/HKG/PVG/BOM/DEL/PEK, but SFO will see some also at least till the 350's come.
