I believe because NAUK is a go already and since they are still fighting the flag of convenience NAI they haven't started hiring their Asian based pilots yet. It's anyone's guess what that will pay.

NAUK may pay poorly but it's essentially the same as virgin America in this country only using contract pilots instead. Nothing illegal is my understanding.
