That's what I believe he's saying: They may been UPS pilots but they were not IPA members.
They are neither. On the UPS side, these guys were hired directly into so-called management positions with flight qualified Captain status. The only time they fly is for currency, during training events or, "ding, ding, ding!!!!," when union line pilots strike or honor another's strike. You can easily deduct the quality of candidate seeking these positions, they sure aren't getting calls from any of the majors-integrity issues maybe??? Otherwise, we don't have any non dues paying guys flying the line (I was told).
