Some people have been here for a long time and have spent quite a few years at even a lower rate that you might be enjoying now. So coming here because upgrade is quick and expect/demand parity pay as soon as the contract is up, that's being unrealistic. Senior guys told you that it wouldn't come that easily. So instead of venting against people that are picking up extra time the way they can (not everybody seems to get those JA calls), is being quite judgmental. There might be people with sick/disable family members, kids to send to college after they couldn't save because of the even lower rate that was here before. This is NOT your business.
Again, not saying we shouldn't fight for parity, but quit whining and divide the group. Spend your energy in a more productive way and let the process go through, be patient.
Wondering if you came here when we had the 9s and you upgraded in less then a year. Lecturing someone about coming here for a quick upgrade probably comes off as hypocritical. If you're wondering, no, I didn't come here for that. I would fall under the pre furlough/strike group and don't get what you're trying to say. Morale here is horrible right now. Contract being drug out, NOIs are up, fly now and grieve later, payroll screw ups, and all we here is Bendo preaching A14 but nothing changes in the operation. I don't blame anyone for being upset. This is being done intentionally. Don't say he's the one dragging down morale, management is doing it so in a year or two we have a different perspective. They're hoping we'll settle, just like the FAs.
