This bull**** "best practices" idea was a disaster from the get-go. Half the crap wasn't either airlines "practice" but some management/training a-hole who thought they could re-invent the wheel. I would have been fine with just adopting either UAL's or CAL's procedures as half of us would have known it already with only the other half left to learn it.
