I talked to one of my buddies yesterday on the inside and he told me they are hurting for 777 pilots, which he can't understand why they haven't announced a new hire class yet. He seems to think there is a bottleneck going through training. I'm starting to get really frustrated as well. I really want to email HR again but I know that won't do me any good... Not necessarily understaffed. Just crews not being utilized well by planning/scheduling by being deadheaded all over, sick calls, fatigue calls, etc. All for blending 3-4 man crews. Tripping over dollars to pick up a nickel. Line values are still low (30-70hrs) not much OT, and plenty of 3-5 day layovers and or R2 periods with crews idle.
