Catastrophic failure on downwind engine at 50 feet during a gust-induced go around. Crew described marginal climb and roll performance. Thanks to the skill and talents of a great crew (again), this didn't result in a catastrophe. They should be commended. IWA crews should buy these guys a few rounds tonight.
Respect to all the fine pilots getting the people behind them safely on the ground when the **** keeps hitting the fan, but I've got to ask new hires and prospective applicants: why come here? Why join an operation with such notoriously shoddy maintenance? Get a few hundred more hours at your regional and take a shot at Frontier or Spirit instead.
