I do not want ALPA dues to be spent on an individual pilot group's desire to hire outside counsel. If a pilot group wishes to have legal representation versus pilot volunteers, they should have to front the costs.

Pay your $30 and just be quiet. You were Teamsters before so your understanding of a union that doesnt specialize in trucking is probably a new thing for you. I dont really care if you dont like to pay your $30, you're going to pay it anyways.

Why can't ALPA provide their own lawyers for us to utilize? What does ALPA do? Why not go in house then if you don't want your Union to represent you? How many lawyers does ALPA have on the payroll. Teamsters had an airline division so it wasn't 100% trucking once again facts are a terrible thing to waste.
