This has had a terrible negative effect on our pilot groups attitude towards management. Over the last couple days it's occurred to me that not only he called us "lower tier" but has labeled Frontier and Allegiant pilots that as well. Please do not see this as a post to fire you guys up but it seems at this point we might in the future be one big pilot group and you should be well aware of their view of all of us!! Good luck
You said your CEO "seems" to have called you lower tier pilots. Did he actually say that? If he did it is a dangerous insult to every airline pilot including legacy because it undermines the trust the people in the back put in us, and they do trust us, whether implicit or expressed.
What does that even mean "lower tier"? I guess ULCC pilots are like a Physician's Assistants and Legacy pilots are the Medical Doctors?
Ok, no problem, I'll gladly accept the title as soon as the FAA starts issuing ULCC only ATP certificates and type ratings, for half the cost and half the training.
Despicable!
