I don't think you are correct. You can't drop reserve days if you hold a reserve line. In case of a build up line, those few days of reserve can be dropped on "green" days. At least it was possible in the past.
Unrelated but are there still reserve lines out there? How much does one CDO average in credit on these lines? I always see CDOs in opentime and ask myself who would pick that up for 4:00 credit. OO pays 1/2 the duty for standups.
