I don't know on what planet this is "Okay", but outside of normal records available through PRIA/etc...there shouldn't be any reviewing of my employment records. Other airlines, Delta/UAL/AA wouldn't be reviewing those records, so Alaska certainly has no business doing it. I'm quite sure they're not reviewing the employment records of Skywest/Compass/Endeavour pilot's they hire. This needs to be addressed ASAP. "

"We have a lot of very well qualified pilots here at QX whose only limitation keeping them from getting an interview at AS is not having a 4 year degree. In this pilot shortage environment, can Alaska really afford to uphold that for much longer? How about getting rid of that requirement for QX applicants? That seems like an easy enough concession to make at this point. Particularly considering that, unless a miracle happens, they will have to flush that requirement later anyways? Sir, I know you are doing everything you can to promote the hard working and devoted pilots at Horizon. It's just really unfortunate the people associated with hiring pilots at Alaska don't realize how much they demean Horizon pilots with their "jumping through hoops" attitude. Horizon pilots shouldn't even have to sit through an interview... And they definitely shouldn't have to schmooze the HR department at Alaska Airlines.
