Anyone have this happen? Listed on a flight. Check in 35 min prior...notice a lot of non revs cleared already. That's weird, if we can still check in. Isn't there a reason CHECK IN closes 30 prior. Tried to look in the non rev guide. It says they may start seating non revs 30 prior. Aka after everyone's checked in. Another guy too with a 1980s seniority number was flipping out. Not right!!!
That doesn't sound quite right. One way to avoid this is to check in on your phone/computer if you know that you will not be at the gate until just prior to push-back. You can check in up to 24 hours prior.
When the gate agent clears non-revs you will be given a seat based on your seniority and priority. Then as long as you arrive at the gate NLT 10-15 minutes prior to push-back you should be good to good.
