At envoy it depends entirely on if you commute or not. If you don't commute, it's awesome. You get to hang out at home and get paid.

If you do commute, prepare to hate life thanks to the draconian reserve rules implemented by our vindictive management team. What do I mean by this? 4am starts on day 1 which require you to come in a day early. This brings your total amount of days off at home to 7. Now let's say you can't get home on your last day because you finish too late (very possible with the flight file AAG has given us which has a lot of these bs late finishes)...this potentially brings your total amount of full days off at home down to 3. Yup, that's right. 3 days off at home. You've been envoyed!

Now the really sad part is that all of this can be avoided. Our management team, however, refuses to negotiate any change to the reserve system in good faith because right now this is working for them. They don't care about the countless new-hires being driven away when they realize how awful it is on reserve as a commuter. And with only 2 bases and over 70% of the pilots forced into commuting, there are a lot of p'd off pilots out there. If reserve ever gets fixed into a workable system that fits both the company and the pilots needs then it could be a beautiful thing. Don't plan on it anytime soon though...

Anyway, that's envoy in a nutshell. How's that for a "sales job"?
