I used to blame the "ME" generation for being impatient, but after talking to a few of them, I realized that it is not them being unrealistically impatient. They have just learned from us. They have watched the industry for awhile and know that there is little stability. They have learned that a terrorist attack or a government regulation could turn this industry on its head overnight.
This is a game of musical chairs. The winner is the person that is in the seat that they want when the music stops. That is why they want to be in the 175, and want a short reserve time, and want a fast upgrade. They just want to be in the best situation possible when the industry collapses on itself again.
Anyone that has been in the industry for a few years already knows this. With social media and message boards like this, the new generation is learning this much faster than we did.
