A turbo prop operated at 50 seats or above counts the same as an RJ up to 65 seats under the Cap of total RJs that is the equivalent of 75% of the Narrow Body fleet.

By taking a seat or two now these turbo props don't count towards the cap and AA can operate fly more RJs up to 65 seats. I believe PDT operates 11 of these Dash8-300. This buys them some time and the ability to operate more small RJs smaller as they continue to add Large RJ, since the NB fleet at AA continues to shrink, this only buys them a little room before they have to park RJs due to the CAP.
