I totally agree! We were all new once and some of us take a little longer for the lesson to sink in than others. As long as it isn't dangerous or going to get us violated, I don't care what the other guy does - and I might even learn something.

My all time favorite - DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME KIDS - was the guy who would activate the approach just as he got on the STAR, and changed VAPP to the different crossing speeds rather than letting FiFi do its thing. It worked, sort of, but he couldn't tell me WHY he did that particular technique or HOW he came up with it when I asked at the gate. Just WOW some days.

Side note - We ought to figure out some slick way to fit FUPM into the Low Tier pilot moniker. Some acronym to blend a special ALPA committee, FUPM and Low Tier into something that they can't make us take off our bags, and will generate some customer interest. I've been thinking about something around unbundling my services like they've unbundled their fares too.
