VegassBus, please don't be taken in by rumor and gossip. Had we flown together, you'd know that I am one of the most vocal names calling for the elimination of the ridiculous difference between bottom and top pay in our scale.

Here's what I tell everyone when this subject arises, "There is no difference in either the responsibility nor completion standards of a first year Captain or a 15th year Captain. I believe that we should have no more than 10 to 15 percent difference between bottom and top. I also want the slope to be linear - no steps in the middle like we have now"

As a former corporate Co-Captain, I'd even be willing to accept Co Captains. Once you've reached a certain (we can work out the necessary timeline later) level of experience at Spirit, you make Captain. This is not unprecedented. I doubt that it would ever happen, but I would support such an arrangement.

You might be surprised to find that some of the people you've been told are your enemy are not. FWIW, I was junior at Spirit a LOT longer than any post strike hire will ever be. Remember, we're all in this together.
