No 9 month upgrade. 19 month actually. Didn't hold a flying Captain line til August 2004. All of the test flying was done because I was on reserve.

IOW, I sat Capt reserve from Jan 1, 2002 (when I got back to the left seat after Sept 11) until I medical'd out in 03. Still sat reserve a few months after returning to flying in Sept/Oct 04. I sat 7 months FO reserve, and (medical leave notwithstanding) Capt reserve for over 30 months. Yes, I was junior longer than anyone hired post strike.

Junior in the seat still equals junior.

Were you one of the FO's who passed over upgrade and let it fall to me? If so, you've no one to blame but yourself. I bid first available and got it. You guys let it fall to me, I didn't reach up and take it from you. And I got bumped back as soon as you changed your mind after Sept 11th. Sorry to mess up your narrative.
