Under one point of view you are right. But beside the fact you can avoid a VDA, when they assign RSA there are definitely open pairings.
We should not pick up either.
As a matter of fact we should start a self awareness campaign.
"Friends don't let friends pick up RSAs"
Ok, ALPA cannot ban them. But we can make sure our fellow pilots understand the importance of getting into negotiation with leverage.
Being proactive rather than reactive.
It's not just to make a point, but it's for a better future.
Don't make the extra dollar today, get a better pay tomorrow.
Look at it as an investment.
