Optics. Doesn't matter if we're "trusted", we didn't get "screened".
We would not appreciate it if certain other countries waived agreed-upon international screening for some of their citizens traveling here based on whatever local standards they wanted...like those who have good attendance records at mosque for example. Good for goose...
