3,000 applicants every 6 months for maybe 100-200 slots. Most applicants are regional guys, mil guys, both, and some corporate. The guys getting hired that I've seen are regional captains/check airmen, mil/regional or straight mil, and a handful of corporate guys with pretty good resumes. And a couple cape air flows. We do hire 0 hour ab initio guys now though. But your best bet is to slug it out at a regional for a while if this is where you want to be. I don't think they will hire a 1500 hour CFI, unless it was all f15 time or something, which I doubt it is in your case.
Let me caveat that with one thing. If this is where you want to be, I would apply early and update often. Even if you don't meet mins or competitive mins, it's free to apply and only takes a few clicks to update, but can be a huge indicator to recruiters about how seriously you want it.
