ELITT (and subsequently, DTC a year or so later) came
long before the 2009 contract vote. IIRC, it started in '02 or '03 or thereabouts.
Non DTC limited ELITT was the single best QOL gain that SW pilots have ever gotten.
DTC, which SWApA unilaterally added (with no membership vote) to the ELITT "experiment", severely limits much of the flexibility that ELITT gained over LITT.
Good thing we (barely) voted down TA1 back in '09, since it had almost TWICE the DTC restrictions that we currently "enjoy", which means pretty much half of every single month would have been DTC restricted.
