An option, which may not be for you, but it is still an option. Apply for a fire department. With a degree, you might have a pretty good chance. I am a firefighter at this point and picking up flying. The reason that I mention this as an option is because we work 2 days a week/9 days a month. That gives plenty of time to instruct plus have an income and a benefits. Depending on the department, the pay is pretty good... at least here in Texas you can make 45-90k as a firefighter before any promotions. May or may not be hard to get hired because of many factors.
