Do you guys think the clowns that run this place and their reluctance to spend money would be any more successful? I don't think so,... As far as an assessment to pay for lawyers goes (highly unlikely but possible) I'll be happy to do so as it's sometimes necessary to spend some money to make some. It's called "playing hardball". It worked for the pilots at Delta as they actually got a new contract before most of them reached retirement age. I already give ALPA a car payment every month, a little more wont make a difference.
You needs to have a set of jewels for that kind of stuff. Hell I am flying with a guy that has been at Spirit for 19 years. He just called for the paperword in IAH..I thought are you kidding me! Then during the flight all he talked about was, "We need the newer younger guys to leave for the mainline for management to get the message." I said, "no what we need is to stop calling for the paperword and kill our D0 and A14". This is the stuff they care about and talk about on EVERY Bendo podcast.
