Dear Fellow Employees,
As we shared last December, American’s employee travel program is about to become the best in the business. June 1 marks several improvements, the biggest of which is free of charge travel in any cabin.
Here’s a reminder of what June 1 will bring:
1. Premium travel will be free of charge: If the seats are open, you’ll be in them. Employees, eligible retirees and your eligible dependents (spouse, domestic partner, registered companion and kids) will enjoy Main Cabin, Business and First Class travel at no charge.
2. Pricing non-rev travel will become easier: Where there is a fee for non-rev travel (international taxes and parent and guest travel), we’re launching a new pricing tool so you can better plan.
3. JetAway gets a makeover: We’ve revamped the JetAway app to give you more information while you’re on the go. You can access a mobile boarding pass and see more information about booking codes to know who’s in line ahead of you. It looks a heck of a lot better, too.
These changes are just the beginning, and you can find out more about them on Jetnet. Several teams are working feverishly on an end-state travel system and anticipate it will be ready for primetime in early 2017. Enhancements include providing an electronic form of payment and improved mobile functionality.
