Letters of rec, from what I hear, don't really pull that much weight. Your app needs the certain number of "points" for you to get a call. We don't know what their point threshold is, nor do we know how many points you get for any given attribute. To get it scored you need either a delta employee (I've heard it doesn't need to be a pilot) to send an email to the recruitment team, (They can get the specific address from deltanet), or if you don't know anyone to do that for you, then going to a job fair will get it scored I believe. There are also "other" ways but none that I know specifically to be able to say for certain. It seems to be across the board on qualifications to get the points. That generally makes it frustrating for a lot of people because on the surface it may appear people who have less qualifications, or time, or pic are getting called and you can't. I know you get high points for attending an aviation university. You get points for good GPA, community service, LCA time, CP time, sim instructor time. You also get graded on how well your app is put together. Make sure you have proper punctation, spelling, sentence structure. If you put N/A in one box, put it in all boxes, and make sure it's capitalized or lower case in all. Make sure your times add up. Make sure you put where you did you flight training. Just make it perfect. Have as many people critique it as possible so it is perfect. Good luck. I'm waiting right there with you.
