You stated your PPL checkride is next month. If you can join the National Guard/Reserve, you can get GI Bill benefits for aviation training. You have to pay for the PPL first, but you're already doing so.

A flying career combined with a non-flying National Guard/Reserve military career is not a bad thing. You get paid for the military duty and get the GI Bill benefits as well. There's the "financial aid" you were looking for.
