I've also heard talk about more Airbuses and from different sources to boot. One source mentioned the planes have been acquired, but not announced.
With Wall Street's negative reaction to falling PRASM I don't see how an announcement of more growth on top of what is already planned will go over well with the analysts. Perhaps that announcement would be paired with an announcement of stock buy backs to help placate Wall Street?
I'm also betting on SJC/Bay Area focus city. No other West coast city has the capacity or demand besides perhaps PDX and I doubt management is interested in joining the battle for SEA. SLC could possibly be another candidate. However, wasn't there just a flight attendant open house in the SFO area this past week?
As far as aircraft to fulfill the needs, I'm going to make a bold prediction and say we'll take some of Qatar's A320neo's. I base that on absolutely nothing besides knowing Akbar Al Baker seems to want to take every chance in public to trash Airbus and Pratt and Whitney a hunch, and a desire to stir the pot.
