It varies fleet to fleet. 'Normal' schedules are 4(or 5)-on/2-off, x4 weeks. You can positive-space home for any break of 48 hours or more.

When you are planning your housing, one month of a 'crashpad' is an option, or option 2 is 16-20 nights in a hotel since you can go home between 'weeks'. A couple of guys in my class did the 'Residence Inn' style suite setup, splitting the cost and just keeping the suite for the duration. Benefits here are a kitchenette and some meals included.

One thing to remember is that this is one month at the beginning of your career. Training has many stresses. For some, the study situation is the biggest stressor and for others, money may be the biggie. Take your personal inventory and decide what situation is best for YOU; hotel or crashpad(other). YMMV
