Holy sh!t, literally (and not only in our 767 cockpits). You aren't kidding about that.
I get 4 pages of complaining about the uniform on APC immediately after the uniform policy FCIF, but I'm REALLY glad to see you brought this much more important issue up, one that directly affects our health and longevity.
Between the Environmental Standards Comittee's email yesterday, and the FAA Cargo Focus Team comm from today, it's clear that there is a lot that needs to be improved, urgently. I had no idea that OSHA protections did NOT apply to us on the aircraft, something that should've been clear to me when plumbing on the 727 and using that lav, nasty to say the least - specially after coming from pax carrier aircraft. I never had understood how sanitary gel was considered adequate as a satisfactory means to clean our hands.
I had emailed captain BA, the ESC Chairman, a sincere thanks 6 months ago. The comm he put out yesterday makes me even more appreciative of the work him and his team are doing. What a comprehensive, eye-opening email he put out. I'm sure the corporation's legal team took clear notice.
