Many others I know that started out in the -80 still use the term. Even new guys that started in the bus do too.
Household term used every day.
It's not the correct term and it's not a household term. It's a confusing term for those who did not transition from another fleet type (which is why it shouldn't be used). I've been on the airplane for awhile and never once heard the term used by someone who didn't transition from one of the other fleets.
