I was hired without attending a job fair but had an internal rec. It could definitely just have been luck. Job fairs definitely do help. I have a buddy that was hired and he attended multiple job fairs and didn't get a call till after his second job fair. I hear that Spirit really likes to see any type of volunteering on your resume as well.
