Please tell me that the cockpits aren't as contentious as these threads. I've held both CAL and UAL on a pedestal for a while. The combination of these airlines (from the outside) seems like a great place to be. I truly hope that my "Target" airline is not/will not become what US Air and AWA became....

Am I wrong?

Use to be able to get the books by calling or writing ALPA but you'll likely get referred to the online version now days.

I wouldn't turn down a job at AA or DL waiting on United. It is about the money. Both airlines had a history and some employee pride in their respective airline. Today the combined airlines has no real identity and most employees put in their time, collect their paycheck and go home. I think Jeff Smisek would be proud with the mess his implementation of the merger has created.

Good thing is the pay is good and you can walk away from the job and not worry about it til the next trip. Good Luck!
