Also how do types work? My regional had us do everything from right seat to get a PIC type. Does Kalitta do the same thing or is all the training from the left?
Talking to some of the guy's that have gone through this 767 course, it is awful. No training aids, an FTD that is broken and they are not fixing, poorly written manuals and contradicting stuff etc.
The type you did at the regionals is nothing more than a FO type rating to appease ICAO. The US only required the CA to be typed. Problems arose in Europe and other places of crews being grounded because the FO was not typed. It basically is just some writing on the back of your license and not a valid type rating in the true sense. ICAO also required the addition of English proficient!
