When screw scheduling calls me, I just make demands they seem to not want to accept. For a one day jm, I ask them to drop my inefficient 4 day. If they tell me they can't do that, or are not at that point yet, I say ok, don't call me back for this same trip because this is your one and only chance.
I have been called back several times and let it go to voicemail at that point and the message is always asking me to "help out or the flight may get cancelled.
The point being us if the company wants to have this cheap regional mentality, then my time is served better at home with the family and updating my resume. Second year at any legacy is better than 3 year Capt pay here.
