Now what were we talking about again?
I seem to always forget to plug in my headset until the CA asks me to call for push. I don't carry my own headset. The aircraft headset is never plugged in and is shoved in one of the 32 hidden cubby holes in the 787. I then have to go searching along with the bunkies for the headset all while the CA asks me why I don't have a headset and gets irritated. Once a headset is found he then orders me to take it for myself at which time I tell him I refuse to steal company property. The entire thing irritates the crap out of me.
Twice now we have shut the door and then realized that there are no more headsets on the flight deck. Once the door had to be re-opened so we could get one and the other time the bunkie gave me his and used that 1940's era head clamp in the 756.
You plug the headset back in because it belongs to the aircraft. And quit stealing company property and if you do steal company property please write the headset up as missing so I can do my job.
Thank you
P.S. I only quoted you CAL because you used the word SOP. I agree common courtesy should be all thats required.
